IMO It's a scam, [email protected] is probably not what Windows wants to be known for. Sorry to hear about your pet Lamplight. It is really saddening for that to happen to close pets.

Has anybody gotten this e-mail from "hotmail" ? I'm pretty sceptical about it and haven't answered yet.
It says this:Dear Account Owner
This Email is from Hotmail Customer Care® and we are sending it to all Hotmail Accounts Owner for safety. We are having congestion due to the anonymous registration of Hotmail accounts so we are shutting down some Hotmail accounts and your account is among those to be deactivated. We are sending this email to you so that you can verify and let us know if this account is still valid? If it is, Please kindly confirm your account by first clicking on the show content link highlighted in yellow just above the subject line. The following information is needed to verify your account: Your User name, password, date of birth and your country information.

It's a scam.
Yeah, general rule of thumb, if you get an email that says things like, "Reply or your account will be deactivated!" and ask for your password, those are scams. Some tips to determine if an email is a scam:
- From a reputable company (Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc) that ask you to verify your account and ask for your password (They already have this information, can track to see how active you've been, etc, so why would they need this 'verification'?)
- Checking who it's from. Yeah, seems simple, but like in vik's email, it said it was sent from "Windows Live Team". Seems alright until you look at the actual email address.
- Check for spelling and gramatical errors. Things like using three exclamation points to try to express urgency, or using the wrong punctuation mark, or not spelling something correct can be big giveaways.
And, of course, if you're unsure, you could post it in a forum to get a second opinion, or do a search on Google for the subject line and see what other people are saying about this.
Windows live hotmail says when you sign up that they will not ask for account information via an email. If it was genuine they would send you to a sign in page. But bare in mind that phishers sometimes do this too.
I used to get spam from panama saying that my bank account would be closed unless i sent them my pin number and card details. Thing is i didn't have an account in that bank, and they spelt cheque as check and centre as center. Big give away that there not working for "bank of Scotland".
But yeah as a general rule don't disclose any information through e-mails, its a delightful thing to do.
Also wouldn't they normally sent information to you in Dutch and not English?
Its a scam for the most part if they ask you for account info... mostly because they already have it.

Yeah. It was hard. Plus I just spent another hour or so up on the roof again. Now we're putting the shingles down in the one section, and I get to take a break after helping with some of that.
Can anyone tell me how to get that creepy horror building bit they usually have at the end? I don't know how to describe it, but it goes up in pitch. I need it so I can finish my first little Brickfilm.
