Re: Café Corner

I text with dazzlingly good spelling and grammar.

  • 2 ≠ to / too

  • u ≠ you

  • r ≠ are

  • gr8 ≠ great

Grr...

Re: Café Corner

I've had texts I can't even read. I've started to see "where are you?" contracted to "wru". How bloody lazy can you possibly get?

Re: Café Corner

Heads up, we got a spammer.

Re: Café Corner

There are quite a few of them like that that sign up, put on a dodgy sig, then never post. I've removed the sig.

Re: Café Corner

Ugh, I found some GIMP site that required you to do a survey to show you aren't a spammer. The survey was about winning an Xbox and crap and you had to give your address and stuff. Stupid, but I still think there should be some simple way to get spammers out on registration.

Re: Café Corner

I want to start learning the guitar, and I thought it would be better to get an acoustic one first for cheapness, but I'd like some advice. mini/tongue

Is this a good one to start with? If not, any suggestions?

Yeah, like, a box that says ' ARE YOU A SPAMMER?'
Like the one at the airport that says 'ARE YOU CARRYING A BOMB?'

I'm back. Possibly.

Re: Café Corner

Heh, funny you said that. I'm just after my Grade 1 guitar exam. I'm not really sure about that one. You don't necessarily need a beginner's guitar. I started off with a normal acoustic (My mum's old one) and then at Christmas my parents got me an electric guitar. The price wasn't too bad (£120 as a bundle, $80 for the guitar alone, as it was second hand) and It's great. Do start guitar, but just get a normal acoustic/electric first.

Re: Café Corner

The laminated top, back, and sides wouldn't say so. You'd be best looking for something with a spruce or cedar top, at the very least. Lamination generally spells disaster as far as quality goes. I'm sure there are good laminate guitars, but in a cheap model like that on ebay, I would shell out the extra to get something solid. Often the cheap guitars like that have terrible set up, and make for a monster to play and get any sort of good sound out of- not to mention the possibility of bad intonation that will make playing up the fretboard sound off. Realistically, you'll probably be looking at $100+ to get something with good action, and little fret buzz. With those, you'll have better tone as well. I would recommend going to music stores and trying out guitars there before you make your decision.
That said, good luck on learning, guitar is great fun to play.

That because its not about getting spammers of there site its about getting money. Advertisers pay the site for every person who fills in a survey so the best we for the site to get you to fill it in is to get you to fill it in before you are aloud to enter. I wouldn't recommend filling them because any web site that has that sort of ad' is not going to be user friendly, all they care about is easy money.
