Essentially it's a censorship law that would end the internet as we know it in America."

Ten days ago my laptop desktop crashed. "Okay," thought I. "The best thing to do is leave it for two days."
Two days later, it wouldn't let me on. I gave it to a computer shop to have a look, and even they couldn't get past an error screen. It turns out the harddrive has broken completely, and I've lost every single file on it. 4 years worth of documents, stories, videos, pictures, downloads, my animations (released and unreleased), all the CDs ripped onto iTunes, even my Minecraft saves, gone in an instant.

I was upset. Sure, I should have backed it all up, but that's like closing the stable door once the horse has bolted.

To top it off, my prelims are upon me, 21 to do in the space of 3 weeks. It's a hard life.

On a lighter note: This is a brickfilm masterpiece, and I advise you to check it out.

@genzarata Hey man, I've been there. About 4 years ago my hard drive crashed and I lost everything, including an12 minute long brick film i had been working on for 6 months. I back everything up now... Hah. Either way it sucks and I'm sorry.

Same thing happened to me right before THAC last year, so I had to reinstall all my programs and it was a mess.

It's interesting just how many people have experienced the same thing. It could be worse, I suppose, as the laptop itself is in fully working condition (though you can't use it as the harddrive's gone, obviously). But Olson - a 12 minute epic? How could you live on??

EDIT: So I was looking at some older posts I've missed and I see that brickfilms.com seems to be an increasingly discussed topic. I visit the site and, lo and behold, there appears to have been an aesthetic upheaval, not to mention some real activity. Can someone fill me in, please?

Activity? Barely...

Considering it was 'dead' not too long ago, I think the deletion of all the old forums and several new topics being created counts as activity, however small.

While that article is biased, I'm still shocked that these clauses are within the bill, and that it passed the Senate with a 93-7 total. Hopefully it will die in the House, or at the President's desk, and it will go back for modifications.

Great, one more part of the world where our military can operate however the **** it wants to without fear of retribution.

Hey mini/smile After my near year long hiatus I am back brickfilming! Anything significant I've missed here since I've been gone?
