Re: Café Corner

Guys, I need to get some batman legos, whether Batman, or joker, etc. I'd like to see if you guys could find something for me that has the minifigs under $10.

Sorry to say Max, but Snape has been taken by Mr. SGZ. Of course if you really did want him perhaps you two could work something out.

Weren't you about 3 in 2001?

Also national flags are dumb this is 2010 not 1905 people shouldn't worship coloured cloth. unless you are a devoted sports fan i dont see why you would even own a flag.
Anyway i think 9/11 is a bit over done by the media, like out of all the disasters in modern history 9/11 is relativity minor. Sure it was a big thing when it happened, but after 9 years i think my ability to care has gone.
More people died in that tsunami in 2004 and no one seems to remember that. And the resent earthquake in Haiti which killed a quarter of a million people.
Armistice/ Remembrance day is probably the only time you will find me giving a 1 minute silence for massive numbers people i dont know. I even buy a poppy for the occasion.

Do you know why America has become so strong? Why it became independent? Because there were people that wanted freedom, wanted their own country independent from Britian that was treating the colonies unfairly. And the flag is a symbol of independence to Americans. A symbol that shows they're not under British rule. It is that flag, along with patriotism, that has made and kept the US so strong.

Also because of people that have views similar to yours, Europe is in such a bad state. There is no love in many families, many people do not respect each other, there's little or even no honor. People are forgetting about important values like freedom.

Re: Café Corner

Seriously guys. Someone should be allowed to post something in remembrance without being jumped all over. This isn't really the place for a political debate.

Oh and martx that was pretty out of line. Your argument is terrible and based on no fact. Just because someone insults your country doesn't mean you can insult theirs.

God why can't you guys just play nice? You're always at each others throats. It's ok for people to have different beliefs than your own.

Re: Café Corner

I've ordered some heads from Bricklink that will be used in project secret after Septemberfest.

Re: Café Corner

I bought today:
-Death rides a horse
-The Comanches
-Chato's Land
Aw yes.

First of all, America isn't my country. Second of all, I wasn't trying to insult Britian. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feeling with my post, but TDogg's post did make me somewhat angry.

And yeah, you guys are right. Let's end this now.

Being taxed by the government is not unfair. I'm willing to bet the US currently taxes Americans higher than the British government did back then.
America became independent because people failed to negotiate properly and a rebellion started. A lot of the British government didn't want to fight the war. And because of some battle the French finally defeated the the British navy leaving thousands of British troops (many of which were Americans) stranded. Britain finally surrendered and left.
ah history is so much fun.

You make a good point. I'm just going to watch my state owned television channels and get my state run health care while i remember how i have never been shot in my state run school.

I doubt anyone's feelings were actually hurt. You should of seen the war room. This doesn't even compare to what went on in there.

Nearer 3000 if you include all 4 planes the two towers, the pentagon and the hijackers.

Re: Café Corner

My apologies, there were just over 3000 fatalities.
Also, Bricklord... Tdogg is not joking at all. He honestly believes that.

But much respect to the people who tried to take over the other plane.

They made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, which requires a golden heart and a brave soul.

That's because it is the truth. Granted i left out the unimportant stuff like the fact that Americans wanted representation in government and less duty on tea and sugar imports. But that stuff is pretty common knowledge.
Also Spain fought on the side of America.
Native Americans also fought for all sides.
And There was that huge national debt that America had developed trying to get its independence.
Then america continued to be a minor country until after the American civil war.
And then in 1945 it became a proper world power, overtaking Great Britain in strength.
And that is American history very briefly explained.

I assume you mean the people who got back control of the plane and not hijackers.
