Bought 'Monopoly DS'. Not a bad transfer, although if I was a tester there would be some definite improvements I would suggest. But it shall no doubt be great on those long journeys....
I have now tried all the motion sensing gaming methods!
I remember before Kinect came out, everyone in this thread was completely badmouthing it, saying how terrible it looked and how it would fall on its face.
Well, a friend of mine got it for Christmas and it's definitely a great party game. Both the kids and adults liked Adventures and Sports but I can't see how this could ever be used for any proper gaming. The technology is brilliant though - you can drop in and drop out of playing and it remembers which avatar you picked and applies it again.
I got Playstation Move. I tried the EyePet demo, which is OK, but HEAVY RAIN: Move Edition is just brilliant. There's nothing quite like using a Wii remote with a squidgy ball on the end (yes, it's squidgy) to pick up, shake, and drink a carton of orange juice.
My Wii has been sleeping in the corner lately, but I got The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for DS so I'm not neglecting my Nintendo.
I am now the proud owner of an Xbox 360 Elite with 120 gigabytes of hard drive space! ![]()
You all are going to the Xbox Kinect and the Playstation Move side. I will never turn, Wii forever!!!
I beat Portal today.
I was surprised at how short it was though.

I bet you're psyched for Portal 2, now aren't ya? ![]()
I was surprised at how short it was though.
Are you angry about how short it was? Did the shortness break your heart?
Steam users join...........please.
Can someone help me join?
Yes, the shortness did break my heart, because I wanted to play more.
I still need to find that cake...
And yes, I am excited for Portal 2. ![]()

Portal is an overrated game. Too short. Good for what it was, though.
Portal 2 will most likely be better, hopefully.
Overquoted? Yes. Overrated? No.
Oh hey there.
With the help of some holiday dough, I purchased these on Steam: Super Meat Boy, Shank, Mass Effect 1+2, Darksiders, Deathspank, Bully, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
I won't list anything I haven't played.
Super Meat Boy
Best Platformer i've played in years, going over all of the classic Super Marios. as well as one of the best indie games ever. It's also hilarious.
Shank
I haven't played a Beat em up game since my childhood, and this one brings backs memories of how much I sucked at them. Nevertheless, I had a bunch of fun with it. I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay itself, I just like watching myself chain combos of shooting my shotgun and slashing through enemies with my dagger, it looks SO cool. The one complaint I have is with the animation during the cutscenes. It isn't bad, but I really don't like the way it looks. I guess the best way to describe it is E-Surance commercial- like.
Mass Effect
I love the customization, firefights, but my favorite part is just talking. I love the insane amount of work DemiUrge Put into simply having conversations with NPC's. My only problem is how slow it is. Having to travel to a faraway planet by scrolling through a bunch of menus on a giant galactic map in the Normandy to do a mission so I can talk to someone new takes forever, and it makes me nerd rage. It also has a bit of a learning curve, perhaps one too long.
Bully
I don't like it. The only parts of the game I find entertaining are the cutscenes and the characters. I love simply hearing them talk and argue, it's great. The missions you have to accomplish, in my opinion, are boring as balls.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Best horror game ever made. It's not some Duke-Nukem Serious Sam shoot em up game, in fact, you don't have weapons at all. The majority of the game includes exploring whilst solving puzzles and running away and hiding from creatures. It also has an interesting use of physics. In comparison to simply clicking on a door and having it open, you have to hold down your finger while dragging it open. This also goes for dressers and whatnot. I would be playing it right now, but I can't play much more than an hour a day before I feel the need to go cry in the corner.
Mass Effect is a lot of fun, for the most part. The gosh darn vehicle sections are super frustrating.
edit: And yeah, I don't even want to play the original portal again, the bloody 'the cake is a lie' meme has soured the entire experience.

I also was a bit surprised by Portal. It was shorter and easier than I expected from hearing people rave about it. Entertaining and great as an experience piece, but I can see why some people feel like it was overrated. I've actually enjoyed the first (and more so the second) Half Life games better than Portal. That said, I am interested to see what they do with Portal 2; hopefully it's a bit more substantial. Reading what the writers have said about the new one, it's good to hear they are going to keep moving past the meme success of the first and not pander to that audience.
My God is TF2 fun! I'm going to join the steam group soon.
Tf2 is the only game i've been able to play for so long without putting a hole through my computer screen.
Just joined the steam group.
Anyone want a match on TF2?
