Re: Post your logo here!

I really wasn't sure how I'd pull off a creepy but still modern look, however, I went ahead and gave it a try. This is my result.
I'm surprised how nicely it turned out. ![]()

Hmm, ANP that looks nice, I might use it, not sure. If you could try this as a logo.
Here's how I want it to look.
-Wide, black banner. Not too wide. Like 1100 by 250. Have it be pitch black.
-Have a solid white minifigure laying on the floor, not covered, but have blood on it, like from the neck area
down, and have it drip onto the black floor, and have a pool of blood cover a section of the black, on the bottom, like the floor area.
-Then on the other side, I want there to be another white minifigure, with a pretty white flower in it's hair, and for it to be dripping blood also. Then in the center, above the pools of blood and little blood splatter on the floor, for the word
"Kinz" to be written, in a creepy font, not cheesy B-Movie font, but like a creepy solid letter font, that means no scratches or weird designs on it, just for the letters to be creepy. Then under the word "Kinz", near the bottom right corner of the word, I want there to be a pair of small white lips, and next to it, a little tiny bit under, have the word "Cove" be written in the same white font.
Can ya do it broskee?
Nah, I dislike blood on LEGO, it bothers me just seeing it. ![]()
Anyway, glad you still kinda liked my thing. ![]()
I'll probably use the method someplace else if I ever need some creepy-ish text.
Though, I must say I enjoy your philosophy of not being stereotypical, not have scratches, but making it modern. Very interesting.
So you offer to do something? But are afraid to since it has blood?
You sound like my mother when she gets her shots.
Id like to try to animate a logo. Like a lego fig standing up, running, jumping and landing beside/in/under/over the logo.
Anybody done this before? ![]()

Its alright, but it's more of an advertisement than a logo. A logo should be flexible, for example, you could make it black and white, or red, or blue, and it would still be your logo. You should also be able to use it for purposes other than "after the video." For example, suppose you did a tutorial on Gimp muzzle flashes, you could use your logo as a watermark and people would recognized it. Try this. Don't use photos for your logo, you can use CGI to an extent, but avoid photos. I like to use Inkscape for logo design because designing Vector graphics means simple geometric shapes creating the image, and with talent, an almost definite usable Logo.
Real Brick you seem to be really good with logos can you please give me feed back on my logo for my art design project, were designing graphics for a made up event so mine is the Sydney Music Fest.

That's a nice logo. Good work.
Here's my finished ANP logo:

I took RealBrick's advice, I tried to format it like his, but I kept the good old ANP text.
THIS. TOOK. FOREVER.
That's fantastic! Great work! Did you make a CAD model, or mess with a photograph, because I dig the CAD style.

CAD?
I messed with a photograph, a lot. Basically, I took a picture shining a light from one angle, made the background totally black, eliminated the color, increased contrast to maximum, then I did some stuff to make a white version of the background, added the red, and fixed up a couple of other things.
Glad you like it. ![]()
Not brickfilm related, but here's a logo I whipped up for a team some friends and I have put together for a 48hour game creation challenge.

That's quite a nice design for the most part, but the halftone circular gradient (the little circles) are very distracting. Lose them, or at least put them behind the other elements. I'd also consider getting rid of the rounded corners on the outlines of the Opera House sails.
Try this - create the logo first in only two colours - black and white. Make sure it looks clean and such before adding fancy strokes, gradients, etc. (Your main design elements will do this nicely for the most part, but it's the best place to start).
I love the idea behind it - Incorporating the MF into the Opera House sails like that is nice. Keep at it!

Thanks for the feedback, personally I really liked the halftone but I'll ask my teacher and see what he says. I actually had made a basic black version of the logo first and then created the cool effects over it. Here is the basic version.

Great silhouette
However try throwing the halftone onto that monotone version and you'll see just how distracting it is. Of course it's your design for your own project so you obviously have final say on whatever you end up doing with it, just offering some advice.

The bend lines in you last design work distracting.
If this is going to be your title screen, then I prefer this one over your new one.
here's my logo:

its not the best, but ah well..
I would recommend either changing the text color or the background color. Black-on-black is unreadable (duh).
it's actually a still from the vid, the flare flies past, with smoke in the background following it to make Alfa Animations Visable
