Definitely not true.

I will admit that the original trilogy was a staple of my childhood, but I don't think the movies are that great, even if they are entertaining.

The thing with the Clone Wars "movie" is that it was really just 3 episodes of the show put together as sort of an introduction to the show, promoting it by having it in theaters for a limited time.  You can't really judge it to the same standard as a feature film IMO.  I do enjoy the show itself quite a bit more than the initial movie, though, Season 2 is pretty solid so far.

I used to be a huge fan, but not so much anymore. I think the series had great potential, and that there is still a lot to expand on. It would really be cool if Lucas could make a GOOD Star Wars film. That would be awesome.

You have no idea what you just said.
The first three Star Wars films were -what fib said-, but I'd like to add that Star Wars has been beaten and maimed and twisted and blown up into something that everyone can't stand anymore because so many movies, tv shows and crap have been made that have destroyed the saga and thus making it no longer special. Wow, that's one long sentence, I hope you can understand that. And yes I know I'm probably going to lose the debate, but a guy can try, you know.

Of the Clone Wars series, I preferred the original 2D Clone Wars miniseries.  The animation looked livelier than the current CGI ones.
