ANIMATION CHALLENGE: Shooting a Gun Without VFX.

Can it be in slow - motion?
Yes.
I'm totally entering this!
LSP I don't see why not, that's probably how a lot of people would do it; Tobias, no, I'm pretty sure it has to be made specifically for this (and there's no harm in practicing an old technique); just making sure, it can be a blaster/laser type thing, and doesn't have to be a modern gun, yea?
@legostudiosplus, you can if you want but I would prefer bricks.#
@kcirbfilms, yea.
Tobias, no, I'm pretty sure it has to be made specifically for this
I don't think that's entirely true ...
Making An Entrance- AnnoyingNoisesProductions
Dirty Sword Fight- AnnoyingNoisesProductions
I probably wont enter this as I'm not a big fan of guns.
but you never can tell.
I'm not a big fan of guns either but I do like to see a gun in a Brickfilm, as long as it doesn't violently kill someone.

Actually, I started that one film specifically for the animation challenge, and released the first half of the film for the challenge.
I had planed to end it with a fist fight, but when the challenge became sword fight, I decided to go with swords.
So both halves of the film where made for two separate challenges.
Also, the rule is that you can enter anything, so long as it hasn't been previously released.
A bit of advice: while the gun's shooting, move it around totally randomly, the arm, figure, everything, make it shake (Not too much, though), I find machine guns work better that way.
Secondly, it's best to make the flair not appear in every frame. Do something like: flare, no flare, flare, flare, none, flare, none, flare, flare, flare, none, flare, none, none, flare. Kind of random.
Also, I'd suggest using a yellow flare rather than red.
Oh, and when the minifigure turns, make his body lean, then pivot in the stud he's on, once he eases into his final position, put him straight.

Thanks for all the advice, it really helps.
Now excuse me while go dig around for a yellow square stud.
Thanks for the entries guys.
I have something that I made a while ago, not that great, but it would suit this competition.
