First place goes to... ShutterBroke's Entry
Your entry was very good and was one of my favorites. The knocking over of the lamp was very smooth and the sound effects were perfect! Great job!
Second place goes to... MrLegoProductions's Entry
I thought yours portrayed knocking something over very well also and it was done smoothly too. The cracking of the final "pillar" and the sound effects were both very nice touches as well! The only downside was the lower production quality and some light flicker. Yours and ShutterBroke's entries were extremely close. Great job to you both!
Third place goes to... FuntasticFilms's Entry
Your entry was very good and displayed several different ways of knocking something over. There was some light flicker that I noticed. My favorite of the 4 ways was definitely the third! It made me chuckle on the inside.
I liked how he just lightly tapped it. Nice job!
We had a big turnout this time, so check out all of the other entries that didn't make it into the top three. (not in any particular order other than the time at which they were submitted.)
Briks' Entry - Though your entry technically had someone falling over, it didn't seem like it fit the theme quite as well as the others. However, the animating was quite smooth. Good job on that!
JeffreySoderlund's Entry - Good job on creating an entry that had more of a plot or story to it. I like it when people do that. How exactly did you do the falling over? I'm guessing you did most of it post?
Mighty Wanderer's Entry - Your entry was nice, but the complete "knocking over" of the wall was a little fast and more "explosive" looking rather than an actual fall.
Living LEGO's Entry - I enjoyed how smooth your animation was, but it was quite short. I'd also suggest at the end that the object moves a little bit more rather than stopping abruptly.
GreyBrickProductions's Entry - Your entry was a little more unique than some of the other entries, so good job on that. I liked the concept too. I'd suggest making it a bit smoother though by taking more shots and showing more of the building falling. P.S. I noticed the Skillet song. I like Skillet too.
Chirochibechirt's Entry - Though yours did have the minifigure falling down at the end, I think this one would have fit the theme of "Impaling" better. I'd try to make the falling over a little smoother, perhaps by using some clay to support the figure to give some in between shots from where he is standing until he hits the ground.
KTproductions121's Entry - The actual motion of the minifigure in pushing the wall was pretty good, however the actual falling wasn't quite as good. I'd suggest making it smoother and less shaky.
Pritchard Studios's Entry - I thought your entry was good, however I didn't feel like it portrayed knocking something over well enough to be included in the top 3. I would have liked to see the wall fall apart more rather than moving off to the side mostly. Good set design and sound effects though! Keep it up!
GandAanimations's Entry - I liked the sort of slow motion or action "freeze" in your entry, but it was sort of distracting in seeing the actual falling over motion. Nice idea though!
1011ev's Entry - I'm glad you did a more unique entry! The reason why it didn't place though was because the knocking over wasn't quite good enough. Nice job though overall!
Thank you to everyone who entered and for being patient about it being so late in the day when the judging happened. Can't wait to find out the next theme!
