anything lego. And I guess if noones entering then im going to win. lol (it's the only way i can win)
It's almost done Just need to mask 6 more pictures.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3OMaQ05dqE This took so much effort and time (5 1/2 hours) the masking slowly ate away at the back of my head so I hope I win.

The plane flying looked a little jerky IMO.
You should study the movement of a real plane, an actual live action video of one and then copy the movements of one of those frame by frame. Tbh it was a sub par attempt and 10 hours seems a bit too much for just a few frames.
But isn't improving the main idea behind the animation challenge? ![]()

I know, I had 45 pictures (10 minutes a picture) animation took 2 hours because I was experimenting with plane movements I took 500 pictures but relised that would take too long to mask so I made a shorter version. And 10 hours is actually a bad esimate probably about 5 1/2 NOT WORTH IT!
{edit}
I do have to say tho, a plane is one of the most annoying things to animate unless using a green screen, I also tried to make the plane do more but i had no was of supporting it. I tried leg bricks to make it curve, my hand, and sticky tak none worked. Sorry for the bad quality Flying isn't my spechialty
. Anyway have a good day everyone. And can someone else enter, because now I think mine doesn't deserve to win.

Yeah, Is challenge for animating minifigs only, or was it made for anything Lego?
Well, technically, the horse walk and a few other animation themes for this challenge thread haven't directly involved animating minifigs but since a theme with minifig animation involved not only gets more entries but is used more in actual brickfilming.
Cant enter even though this is an epic one ![]()
This didn't really work out by the looks of it. I quite like the theme, but you can't really animate a plane now I think about it. You can animate it moving and then green screen it, but being as most of us only have a table to work on thats basically it. I agree with MadBrick, it would be better to stick to minifig animation. Looks like legostothemax is going to win, but it's not really winning if there weren't any others. It's not really a challenge, and yes I know animating a plane was my idea, but I kinda thought that one up on the spot. I still think some good ones would be:
1. Fight - That would be good as a 2 week one IMO. I'd love to enter that, if I ever win I'll choose that. Any fight would be good, fist, gun, sword, etc)
2. Archery
3. Sonic boom/shockwave - That would be cool because we could make the shockwave out of lego
4. Shootout - It is an animation challenge, not a SFX challenge, but it'd still be cool
5. Fishing
They are just a few I'd enter, I think that they'd get more entries. Animating stuff with bricks would be cool, like the 'Bricksplotion', I personally think the Shockwave one would be good for that. Maybe there will be another entry to this, and that would bring it to a whopping total of two entries. Bit of a shame really, sometimes these just don't go down so well (like the 'jacking up a car' and 'wall run', they weren't very popular).
But if LTTM does win, give us a good one!
Good luck to anyone else whose going to enter, but it looks a bit unlikely. ![]()
Gymnastics, animal animation, household chores, hangliding, laughing, baseball, balancing on a pole, hand stand, forcing, throwing up, tackling, gun fight, gun throw, walking on cruthces... Just some ideas!
Also, climbing a tree, going to the bathroom, shower/bath, pogo sticks, mob animation.

Are all great idea, IMO, they could make for some really creative entries. Oh, and most especially - Going to the bathroom! Lawl, I'm not usually one for toilet humour but when done with LEGO it could be hilarious.
