Re: Photography

You succeeded.

I would be ready to believe the first and second pictures were mini models.

Re: Photography

I really must do more railway ones. I'd probably be best to do it on a dry sunny day. I shot those when it was wet and blue something which a model wouldn't feel like. Also if anyone else wishes to try this you really should do it from a high angle to give the impression you're looking down onto a model.

Re: Photography

How do you do that? Do you blur out somethings in Photoshop or something? Other than the last one, they look unbelievably miniature-model like!

Re: Photography

There is two ways to get the miniature effect. Tilt shift lenses as stated or in post production. I did it in photoshop due to not having a tilt shift lens.

Re: Photography

Okay, I forgot I was the last one to post, but *bump*

So, I now have a DeviantART page. I haven't got a Canon 7D yet, but DeviantART inspired me to do some more photography with the camcorder I have. Here are some works, but to see them all, visit my page!

Re: Photography

Those are awesome, DerTarchin. I especially love the hallway one and the shot of the horse. Looks great.

Here are some photos I took with my iPhone.

Re: Photography

Those photographs are quite nice, DerTarchin.

Re: Photography

Rargh! Haha. I'm outraged with jealousy on your camera DerTarchin. Beautiful quality! How far were those zoomed in because I know how hard it is to stabilize a camera when it's zoomed out far. Even with ISO stabilization on. I'm amazed- and outraged. mini/tongue Wonderful!

Re: Photography

Due to people liking my photos, I'm posting another pile of pics from my DeviantART page. Again, visit my page for more (link in sig).

This image is cool because if you zoom in to the topmost droplet, you can see the house across the street, along with its driveway and shed.

Re: Photography

I love the water droplet on the mirror too. It looks like half of a marble. Is that dust- dust I see?? Or just small water droplets? Wonderful camera, DerTarchin.

Thanks!  You gave me an idea- I have a "half marble" and I may just use it for more photography. Also, even though I am proud of my camera, I still need a better one. For both filming and photography.

More to come! Or just check out my page!

EDIT: Hey, guys, here are some extras with the droplet that I dug up from the trash can!

Re: Photography

Not sure if I dig the whole close-up shallow focus thing; it's something that people get overly obsessed with.

Re: Photography

Love it!
I think dust would look cool.
I'm going to drip some water onto my extremely dusty marble mantlepiece and take a picture.
