The irc server is irc.msgplus.net and the channel is #brickfilms, you can access it on mibbit.com with that info.

How is thi gonna work? Do i NEED to have the chat on?

The chat isn't necessary, you can watch without being logged into it.
I'm not sure what the issue would be otherwise. I understand a handful of people are having technical problems, if you happen to miss a few vids they'll be posted online afterward.
For what it's worth, I am running Firefox and haven't had any issues, we admittedly had less time to test this than we might have liked, partly due to receiving more entries than expected.
I've got video now, it's just loading SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

it sounds like your browser or computer is having a hard time with the javascript, Chrome seems to deal with Javascript better then any other browser http://www.google.com/chrome
Edit give it a little while before trying to reconnect
I hate how I can't log in because of "re-logging in too fast".
