Hey, I notice this says 'Anyone who is a registered member of Bricks in Motion and in good standing before the start of the contest can enter'. I am keen to enter the contest, but only became aware of this rule a few hours ago, and subsequently made an account.
Will I still be able to enter the contest? I am happy to provide any proof of my previous animations or anything else that might help?

Yes, no problem Working Animations. You can enter. You do not have to provide any previous animations.
I did THAC last year and enjoyed it so much, That I put it high priority on things to do this year. I'm very excited and can't wait to see what the theme is.:DD

There was no THAC in 2014.
He probably means the THAC held December 28th, 2013.
You're right, I didn't realize there was no THAC in 2014. THAC 12 wasn't until January 3rd, 2015.
Rio participated in THAC 12, so he must mean THAC 11.
