Re: Bricks in Motion: The Documentary Kickstarter is now LIVE!

Congratz on reaching the goal guys.

I had a question Smeagol] and team]. I am still working on my episode and am about half way done, am I able to have that in the BiM dvd? Or how does that work? If so how long do we have until your not able to take any more shorts? Would really like to be in it.

Sincerely,
Divine.

Re: Bricks in Motion: The Documentary Kickstarter is now LIVE!

The BiM Celebration contest was our way to let anybody interested in participating have a film or theirs on the BiM Collection DVD/Blu-ray.

Beyond that, the collection will consist of a curated selection of films that we've chosen, but we won't be having an open application process for it.

Right? Got another executive producer pledge and a $250 pledge in the span of an hour.

By the way, for those who were interested in the $250 tier but didn't make it into the first five slots, to be animated by Nathan Wells, we've expanded it: there are now three more $250 tiers offering 30-second shorts by other animators: Zach Macias (MindGame), Doug Vandegrift (Vandy), and James Morr (KG / Spastikchuwawa).

We won't be adding any more executive producer slots, in order to preserve the exclusivity of that reward.

I haven't donated yet so I'll donate today if I'm not busy!

Now we've hit the target, can everyone just slow down with the donating please. If we reach the $13.5k stretch goal it means I have to tidy my studio area and buy peanut butter and root beer and stuff. That's what Americans eat, right?

Root beer with lots of ice, served in GIANT cups, no less than 30 ounces.
Peanut butter and jelly. Can't forget jelly.
Also, you're going to need tons of those potato chip variety packs.

Crunchy, crispy bacon.
Not the soft, chewy kind.
'Cause we like to put bacon on everything.

(I'm sure proper fish & chips will be just fine. The UK has some pretty yummy food.)

Really pleased to see that this Kickstarter reached its goal!  I'm really looking forward to this; I'm happy that I could contribute, even if it is in a very small way.

NOW YOU'D BETTER FEATURE AN ARTICLE ABOUT HOW AWESOME I AM ON THE FRONT PAGE OR ELSE

It's absolutely fantastic that we've reached our initial goal. mini/bigsmile  Now we really need to strive toward the stretch goals. I'm particularly excited about the possibility of interviewing Chris Salt and others in the UK.

In addition to getting new people to pledge, I encourage everyone who has already pledged to consider raising their pledge. Even an increase of a few dollars from our supporters will get us a lot closer to the stretch goals!

Re: Bricks in Motion: The Documentary Kickstarter is now LIVE!

Do you know if Docurama has made their pledge yet? If they haven't, it would be cool to have another huge jump into the other stretch goals.

Re: Bricks in Motion: The Documentary Kickstarter is now LIVE!

As far as I can tell, they have not. They did say it would be a "small" contribution. I'm giving them some time before I start pestering them, haha

If you're getting peanut butter, be sure to also get some Ritz crackers to go with those, please. mini/bigsmile

Very excited to have met the goal, and with 12 days to spare, no less! It would be excellent to meet and interview some of our European brethren as well; brickfilming is far too international of a phenomenon to keep it limited to just North America.

I'm also curious as to what kind of donation Docudrama is gonna pledge to us. They said it would be a "small donation," which is just vague enough to yield no helpful information about it.

Shouldn't we at least try and get some salt?

I, for one, think this is fantastic.

8 days to go! We're 2/3 of the way to our first stretch goal.
