why would you just post a picture of a table?

I'm always altering my studio, and it doesn't take days to setup a studio. It takes an hour, tops!

The reason is because that is all I have at the moment. I am updating my resources (blue/green screen, lighting, etc.), but I don't have them yet. Otherwise, I would have had it completely set up by now.

Re: Pictures of your studio

That's very clever, PlainBrick. I doubt that I would ever have thought of that.

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Pictures of your studio

My studio with my newest camera, a Nikon D7000 to replace my Nikond D3100. Also has my new macro/wide angle lens attachment on the camera. I was hoping to use the 50mm lens for my animation, but it would mean moving my camera a lot to get the correct framing, so I have to go with the old 18/55mm.

Reason for camera upgrade is in this picture too, with my new software there. Dragonframe is awesome so far, and I'm almost certain I'm not even using its full capabilities so far.

Whilst I'm at it, here's a few pictures of my LEGO room, which is separate to my studio at this point, but I will eventually have all the tubs on hand in my studio room. I have a lot of sorting still to do with the sorting tubs in the background. Also, I have all up 163 minifigure heads, which is reasonable but I have seen far larger collections. Still a good selection for animations. Torsos and legs are uncounted.

Re: Pictures of your studio

You've got a very good-looking and organised collection there, Kieren. I wish I could say that my collection of LEGO is as organised as yours, but that wouldn't be true. All the LEGO we have are kept away on only two big tubs, in my younger brother's room!

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Pictures of your studio

It is a lot easier with a sorted collection. It may seem like a huge task to sort it, but once it is sorted it is worth it tenfold. And it gets a bit addictive once you start sorting too.

Re: Pictures of your studio

I might edit this post later with better pictures of some stuff but here's what I've got, basically.
For actual brickfilming this is it...
I took these while filming Perpetual Twilight but nothing's changed.  Just a table with some lamps and a chair off to one side for my laptop.  Swanky, I know.

The only minifigs I really have sorted are my Star Wars ones, all the rest are in a state of disarray.

Head wear in one, torsos in the other.  I must say, sorting this out gives me so much pleasure, especially minifigs.  I think I'm going to sort some out more later, now all because of this...

Re: Pictures of your studio

That's an awesome little rig you've got there. Wish I had the space to build something like that.

Wow, that is a lot of Star Wars minifigs. Also, I really like your lamp rig, it's a clever way to get top down light. mini/smile

So true I don't no what I would do If my lego wasn't sorted. And to think I had it in some big tubs for years. mini/jaw

That light rig is a great idea.
Going to borrow your idea and have one made as well.

Re: Pictures of your studio

Thats a heck of a lot of Star Wars mini/tongue.

Re: Pictures of your studio

Super Bump.

I didn't want to make a whole new thread for this in the audio forum, so I figured this was the best place. My apartment is pretty echoy, so I built a sound absorption backdrop thing to go behind my microphone while recording. You can buy them, but their pretty expensive, and building this one with actual acoustic panels cost around $50. If you're able, I'd suggest that anyone who is able to do this, I noticed a huge difference right away. You can go even cheaper by just using any old foam, as long as it's soft.

(Sorry for the grainy image, I didn't feel like going and finding my flash.)

Nice setup! That would definitely improve my setup. I see you have the Blue Yeti. Nice mike mini/yes (its the same one I have, though I don't have a pop filter yet...)
