Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Spy Kids 2

You know, I used to like this movie, and I guess it's still okay, but man it is cheesy. That said, there were also a couple mistakes and other nitpicky things that I noticed this time around that made it a bit more interesting. For one, during the skeleton fight, one of the skeletons completely disappears from the shot one frame before the shot changes; also, one of the pieces of treasure they pick up in the scene beforehand, I'm pretty sure, is the idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark, which was a cool cameo. But one other thing; what was the point of the characters hearing each other's thoughts? And wasn't the band that Juni gave the President's daughter at the end the same one that was supposed to be holding those three switches together? And why was that device supposedly causing the end of the world? I thought it just disabled technology.

And whatever happened to those shoes with the wheels in the heels? I haven't seen those around in ages!

Walkabout

Hmm...not sure what to make of this one. It offers some very unique visuals and cinematography, but...I dunno, I just can't find the intended purpose. If the film had maybe expanded on the relationship between the kids and the aboriginal boy more, then it might have gotten its point across. But the movie treats this with a great level of distance that it all seems fairly uninteresting and arbitrary.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Excellent cinematography and music, as well as strong performances from Brad Pitt and especially Casey Affleck. If there's one drawback about the film, I felt they sometimes relied a bit too much on narration to drive the story. But on the whole, a very well-made movie with a great amount of emotional depth.

Cloverfield, YEAH!

The Village

The only thing I didn't like about this film was the way it ended.

The Room
Just back from seeing this The Room it's been a month since I was at the cinema last time, again seeing The Room. I can't fully explain how awesome it is. You're physical condition changes from this film, no other film has that effect. I've lost my voice, I had cider spilt over my jeans, I have wounds from plastic spoons. Go see it in the cinema!

Battlefield Earth

I saddens me to thing that they actually tried with this movie; even if that statement is true or not. It was a pathetic attempt at... whatever they were attempting to do.

The Plague of the Zombies (1966)

Pretty good zombie horror film, I was expecting more zombie action but this was alright.

Night of the living dead (1968)

Oh man, what a classic. Maybe this is cliché but definately my favourite zombie movie ever. It gets better the more I watch it. George Romero is a legend.

Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

What a great horror movie, the effects are awesome yet simple. The remake is probably crap... I also spotted an evil dead refference in it mini/tongue I wish I could go back in time and see it fresh.

The Karate Kid (1984)
This movie was and still is so awesome, all you need is one phrase: "Wax on, right hand.  Wax off, left hand."

The remake with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan looks like it'll be good.  mini/smile

Shoot 'em up
Very much sex and unrealistic gunfights with masses of splatter blood, bad effects and some funny jokes.
That´s pretty much the film.

Shoot 'Em Up is like in the top 10 list of the Sex and Unrealistic Gunfights with Masses of Splatter Blood genre. I like it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I don't remember that much sex in it ? Except for the action and sexscene at the same time wich was really hot.
