Well ofcourse we stand up for you, atleast the ones who helped you and talked to you during these 24 hours so we know you did really make the video during the contest. I still don't see what the problem was but since it's solved and Carroll's entry is allowed it doesn't matter.

You're too kind, however can I...."repay" you...

And you look faaaaabulous!

But this is getting pretty heated right here so we should get back on topic.

75 entries is a good turnout!

Re: THAC X Starts NOW! [CLOSED]

The intent of the rule originally was to keep people from submitting a film they've been working on for a while that happens to be filmed in a sit with a floor and character legs that happen to match the mod element requirements. I think it's a decent rule, considering it would be pretty conceivable for somebody to have a film with a gray ground and white legs, but Carroll didn't break the rules to the letter so there's no reason to consider disqualification.

A guy was disqualified a few years ago because there was a panning shot where the mod element went out of the frame momentarily, I thought that was too harsh and not in line with the purpose of the rules. We've tried to be more lenient since THAC became an official function of BiM, though we still want to ensure that rules are followed and avoid cheating.

Re: THAC X Starts NOW! [CLOSED]

you got a cute little pony there Smeagol...

I understand the rules, I just feel like my entry didn't need to be disqualified because of the mistake of bricks over baseplate.

Aww shucks, it was mostly based on art from the show anyway. Here's the full piece.

Apologies to Hazzat & every entrant in THAC X for turning this thread into a discussion of My Little Pony fan art.

Each judge will simply pick which films they like the best. There will be no individual scores for animation, special effects, set design etc. so this should hopefully mean judging is a fairly quick process.

This is my favorite part about this. That's a fantastic way to judge.
Rating categories is too complex, and the best films don't always come out. this is simple, and good.

Re: THAC X Starts NOW! [CLOSED]

Well, I just watched EVERY SINGLE entry, and while it was fun, my mind has officially turned to mush. mini/dizzy  There seemed to be an inordinate amount of crime (and crawme) themed films, although I found the musical quite entertaining.

I am impressed with how many completed films there are, and I congratulate all their directors.  Finishing THAC is quite an accomplishment.  Good luck to everyone.  I don't envy the judges and their tough job!

Thanks, Hazzat, for running this successful and exciting THAC!

I was referring to the action of rating the categories. I was not reffering to categories that are rated.
I used the word I originally chose correctly. It should be is not are.
I did leave off an O on too, though. mini/tongue However, that was merely a typo.
