Re: THAC X is coming soon!
Will the thread be easy to find? I don't want to spend an hour looking for the theme and all the other important stuff.

I'm just scared you will fall asleep 10 minutes before we start Hazzat lol
I'm also confident that he won't, especially since he lives in England so it's like in the middle of the day when it starts for him.
EDIT: but still, thats what we always say to the hosts and look what happened the previous 2 years

As Squash said on the last page,
I don't intend to search through the entire 9 page long thread for an answer to my... it wasn't even a question.
Even if it's not me (which is unlikely, it starts at midday on a Saturday for me!)
I know that's what I said
I don't know about anyone else, but I've been debating with myself whether or not to use my new equipment. I've decided I might as well, because its my first THAC, so I don't expect to win.
I would recommend getting familiar with your gear by testing it out before THAC. The last thing you need is something going wrong with your equipment and having to spend an hour fixing it.
Also, beware the THAC curse.
Also, beware the THAC curse.
There is no such thing.
i'm too lazy to enter now , i might forget the mod element like always. Sorry , i hope everyone will enjoy THAC.
EDIT: I will be in Springvale , Victoria on that day so that's another reason

I'm really debating whether or not to use Helium Frog. I mean on one hand it has instant playback and onion skinning unlike monkey jam, but on the other it crashes a lot and kinda messes up the other audio of my computer, so I can't listen to music while i animate.
I can feel the whitewash of regret already lapping at my feet.

You have 23 hours and 46 minutes to try out both!
I've used both of them for a lot of time before now. It's really annoying because Helium Frog has loads of advantages (the ones I mentioned above as well as being able to shoot in many more resolutions) but as I said, it crashes loads and makes audio on my computer really weird.
On a side note, would it be a good idea to make a set before THAC starts? It might save time but it might not go with the idea I get from the theme.

It's a good idea. It saves loads of time.
I've made a really nice Faloovian gnome village. Whatever happens will happen in that village.
What ever the theme is, it could theoretically happen there. Like if the theme is sports, I'll make up some weird Faloovian sport and have the gnomes play it. Or if it's revenge, I'll have something bad happens to the gnomes, and they send the goblin hero Ouskavar to go get whoever did it. Or if it's dreams, I'll have the gnomes be having nightmares, and Ouskavar goes into them with magic to slay whatever the problem in it is.
But really, no matter what the theme is, I could probably make it something to fit those gnomes and Ouskavar. so long as it isn't "not a village"
Even if I go for something else, I can easily redecorate the set to be something else, but maintain my detailed rock face.
I also have an interior for one of the gnome homes, and an evil castle interior.
Just in case I need one, I'm going to build the exterior of the castle today.
