Re: Drawings and other Art

I didn't explain myself: the nose is tinier than it should, and the jaw is a bit bigger than it should too, and the teeth are askew (had to use google traductor for that word, I doubt it's the one I seek). That's why the mouth seems wrong (and I feel I didn't explain myself well enough).

Re: Drawings and other Art

EDIT: Never mind.

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Re: Drawings and other Art

The only things I see wrong with that are; the chin line extending too far back, a missing line in her mane near her ear, (compare to your avatar to see what I mean on those first two things), and the slope of the teeth line slanted forward a bit too much.  I think the shape of the mouth itself is fine.

Other than those little things, very good job.

I've been practicing drawing ponies myself.  I'll take a picture of and post the only drawing I didn't erase (all the others were just doodles) sometime.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Made this at my grandparents' house because I was bored.
My scanner is messed up, so I had to take the photo with my webcam, then blur stuff to avoid copyright infringement.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Thanks! That means a lot to me!
Of course I won't actually start selling plushies until I find a better fabric because right now I am only using crappy felt.

But I have been so obsessive lately, I just made a Pinkie Pie.

Just a quick little thing I whipped up just now, not my best work, but...

I was still in an afterglow from the E3 press conference Nintendo did this morning.

Nice, but he's to tall and slim for me. I always think of Mario as fat. That's because he mainly is. mini/lol

Here's another sketch I did, this time for a history project on Egypt:

(It's an ancient Egyptian chariot for those of you who don't know)

Re: Drawings and other Art

Nice chariot Living Lego, I don't know why, but I love the wheel. xD

A drawing of Sanji I did for someone's birthday, kinda proud of this one.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Thanks jstudios! You know, as horrible as the wheel looks, it historically accurate, because chariot wheels sucked back then.
Also, the drawing is nice, but the collar is just a smidge weird.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Nice drawing Jstudios! One question though, why is he smoking?
@LivingLEGO As a person who is a history geek I can confirm your wheel statement. I like the drawing.

Re: Drawings and other Art

He's smoking because he does in the show basically. mini/tongue His cigarette is one of his main attributes.

I drew this a while ago, sorry for the squares. It was hard enough to get it out of my book without damaging it.
Also sorry for it being so big.

Not bad, Roger.  Better than my first try, that's for sure.

Good job on the mane and tail.

The mane main thing that needs some work is the porportions.  The ears and legs look a bit small compared to the head and body.
I think the chin needs some shortening and rounding out, a small curve added for a nostril, the bottom side of the wing rounder, and a mouth.

Good job so far.
Drawing ponies takes practice, and I should know.

Speaking of which, I've done a few drawings.  I found that looking at a reference picture really helps when it comes to getting the lines and shaping right.

For the record, Rainbow Dash is the hardest pony to draw.

Erm, no. If your referring to the long stick extending out from the front, that's a historically-correct representation of a crude yoke for two horses to be tied to. A rickshaw has two poles extending from either side of the carrying basket towards the front, both of which have a horizontal stick connected to the outer ends of the two other sticks (if that makes sense).
