Re: Things You Would Like to Achieve in Brickfilming

Hmm, I think I'll concur with backyardlegos on this one. I just wanna make something big that'll be remembered like America: Outlawed or Mirrored Perspective, or The Magic Portal. Something that moves brickfilming "up a notch on the totem pole".

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Things You Would Like to Achieve in Brickfilming

I just want to make something that people would look back on and remember. Maybe look back on an example of one of the great brickfilms. I never really started thinking this until 2011, when I started scripting Double 0 Bacon, before that I just thought of it as a pass-time to make short humorous flicks.

Re: Things You Would Like to Achieve in Brickfilming

Other than what most of you already said, which is making something memorable (and I'd add ambitious too), my goal is pretty much to go beyond brickfilming.
I don't want to just make films with lego, I want to make explore other techniques, like clay, puppets, drawings, flash (the last one is already happening), even 3D/computer animation, which, actually is the technique I find least interesting right now, but still worth exploring.
To be honest, I'm getting interested in many aspects of filmmaking: acting, direction, editing, scriptwriting.
So, that.

Re: Things You Would Like to Achieve in Brickfilming

That's actually the same with me. I'm still pretty young, and I have a looong time to make the desicion of what kind of type of filmmaking I would like to do when I'm older. So why don't I just go and explore different techniques?

I wouldn't be surprised if a decent number of the people here end up in film, although I won't be one of them. mini/sunnies

Re: Things You Would Like to Achieve in Brickfilming

I've tried 2D animation myself last month. With Toon Boom then with Crazy Talk Animator Pro (which is probably the best software to begin your 2d career) but I just really suck at drawing characters, I can easily animate them and stuff it's easy (in Crazy Talk animator it's super-easy) but I just can't draw mini/bigsmile

Mmmmm, double bacon.

Anyways, I would love to learn to stick with a project, even when I lose interest. Or make a film that is longer than 3 minutes. Also, making a memorable film would be nice.

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.
