Re: Looking for a new computer

For running MJ, (or whatever frame-capture you use) and the basic funtions, yes. But if you start trying to make a lot of special effects, it'll be slow. And if you try filming in HD or 24fps, one, you'll soon run out of memory, and two, you won't be able to run a video editor well at all. Or, fast-forward a few years and you may not even be able to run the more advanced editors at all. The RAM would be the main killer though, so increasing that would help a lot.

So yes it would work, but if you tried to do too much advanced stuff, it wouldn't do so well.

That being said, I'm no computer expert. So I may be wrong. mini/eh

Re: Looking for a new computer

Oh.

Well,  yeah, I was going to buy some more RAM, but 1TB of space shouldn't run our that soon. Thanks anyway, but it's really going to hard for me to get a better computer, as there seems to be a gap between about $300 and $350. mini/confused

Re: Looking for a new computer

that emachine you put up definitely looks better than the others. the 3 GB is getting there, and the nvidia graphics card is just good anyhow.
