-_- I was being sarcastic...
Still, congradulartations to the winners!
Wasn't talking about you
On one list I got 16th but on the other i got 21st
I cba to read the thread fully, but you guys should stop complaining and make better films if you wanna place higher, its not a popularity contest, its a brickfilming contest, get over it.
I don't think there's any favoritism going on, I just think that for someone to pull of an entire film within 24 hours is extremely difficult, and obviously it was not a problem for the winners (congrats by the way!). So I wouldn't be feeling bad for yourselves, even if you got a low score you'll still be winners, if you think your film was good. There will be another THAC next year, and until then I'm sure everyone will have improved in there animation, and hopefully be able to get higher scores.

I'm glad that Bounce placed high though. That film was genius!
I'm still a little confuzzled about why Al Azar de Lo didn't place so high. I liked that one a lot.
Where were the "gauranteed" special guests?
the same few people ALWAYS win or get the top 5? Just sayin?
The same five people you say, well those five people have practised and put the effort in. You don't think somebody like Nick Durron made a top notch film the first day he started? To reach the skill point he's at would require allot of patience, effort, practice and general knowledge of film making.
Now THAC had an incentive or prizes which could be won. So why wouldn't somebody want to use the knowledge and skill to win, I assure you if you were one of those top five you wouldn't complain.
I think it's a tad unfair that the same few people ALWAYS win or get the top 5? Just sayin?
The same few people always win or are in the top 5, because they're always among the most skilled/experienced 5 people entering. I've been making LEGO movies for over a decade, and this is the fourth time I've made a THAC film; MindGame and Nick Durron have been at it a pretty long time, too. What you're saying is akin to suggesting that it's unfair for Steven Spielberg's films to frequently be nominated for Best Picture in the real film industry, simply because he's experienced and talented and successful.
On the other hand, a guy who I think none of us had heard of before last week won second place this year by a narrow margin. I'd think that's pretty good evidence that this isn't a popularity contest. Individual tastes will always differ somewhat.

I second Smeagol,
with great talent comes great responsibility! I don't even know where that quote comes from, either Conan or Karate Kid... I suppose from now on you have to animate with one arm tied behind your back...

True dat.

Isn't that from Spiderman?
(Sorry for being off topic..)
It's amazing how I previously posted something along the lines that Smeagol posted, and yet everyone sucks up to him.
He's our site admin. We have to. Otherwise he will whisk you away in the middle of the night in a giant server on enormous chicken legs.

Sorry Moyrust, just let us know how can we suck up to you? I don't prefer anyone, I suppose Smeagol was just easier to make a joke about, I still look forward to a one armed THAC entry of his....
Besides didn't you get the PM regarding the quota of sugar coating everyone has to do to keep our admin happy?
Cheers Arend
