WE CAN CHANGE SOME STUFF AROUND!?!?!?!? ![]()
In that case, I'll probably do a film I've wanted to do for some time:
"The Dark Night: Batman saves the Day"

You can make your own versions of a scene/video, we just want the central themes to remain the same. For example, you could do the fight in Star Wars Episode 3 and have Anakin killing Obi-Wan, or Yoda saving the day, as long as the central theme remains. As for the time limit, we will talk about revising it with the other helpers.
great Always wanted Qui-gon to live, or Anakin to lose the podrace... or both.
Alright... If the time limit is going to be extended, I am fo shure doing 2001: A Space Odyssey. Or maybe Napoleon Dynamite
. But if it remains at 5 minutes, I shall instead do Mr. Bean.
I can think of a lot of things that would have made Twilight better...
Wait, can you do TV shows, like Mr. Bean? Because he did make a few movies too, so I'm not sure if that would count. Star Trek would be fun too.
So are we allowed to completely recreate the scene shot-for-shot like in this, using the same audio from the scene in the movie?

Yes, but without the audio. I prefer that you use your own audio. And when I said keep the central theme, I mean like characters and settings. As long as you keep those elements you can either re-create or enhance the scene/film. I would not like it to be completely different, but something like Kwygon winning would be fine. But, if you want to completely do frame to frame replicas of the original film, that is fine also. Entries will be judged on how well they excecuted the replica, or how well they enhanced it compared to the original.
EDIT: And shows can also be re-made.
I'll probably enter something. Nice idea.
I have multiple ideas, so I'm just wondering if this one would work.
Would remakes/redos of comics or comic books be accepted? One of my ideas is recreating a The Far Side comic in film (which would be pretty cool IMO).
If not, then it'll be easier for me to decide between ideas.

"The Dark Night: Batman saves the Day"
We have so many Batman films coming out. I'm sure there is another film/book that you could do.
just look at "pre production" the first four subs are "Batman" related.
I'm likely going for the 'Podrace' or maybe the final Duel on EP1...
[inception]I might enter if I have the time and motivation. [/inception]
I had started a movie based on a book and I was wondering whether I could enter it.

Okay, I'm cool with that, the scene I'm doing has very little dialogue in it anyway. Most of my attention to detail will be in the sets, though it may be a bit hard to make a LEGO Hal 9000.
I might do something for this contest[/deathnote], and if you want another judge, JP, I'm here.
There is nothing wrong with a LEGO Batman movie. Batman is awesome. The only problem is the lack of good LEGO Batman movies.
I, personally, have never ever seen a good LEGO Batman movie ever. I want to change that. I want to be the guy to goes and make Batman how he should be: awesome.
Most people think LEGO Star Wars films are bad, and they almost always are, but there are a few exceptions, mainly Fancy Pants. Who has made a few wonderful Star Wars movies.
It is possible, just not easily done, and hasn't been done.
Sounds like their will be some good entry's!
can't wait to see what you guys can offer.
I would enter, but I am to busy right now with Jumperman.
