How about after 20 edits, we to a new picture? That seems good to me. 
I suggest until someone feels it is artistically complete (or too cluttered), because otherwise you have to keep track of a bunch of stuff etc. I dunno, whatever everybody else sees fit.

No offense, but if no one starts actually editing a photo properly (not copy and paste, as RP Hoogle said) this thread is going to turn out very immature and unorganized. When you say it's time to switch a photo when it's too artistic, you're basically lying because copying isn't artistic at all. I really like this thread, and plan on contributing, unless It's stayed like this.
I mean, if you're going to copy something in, at least make it look nice and as if it belongs in the photo- not horribly masked, not shaded. You gotta take pride and effort into your creations, just like a brickfilm.

This is sad. People, try to make it look good. You saw earlier how people tried to make their spoofs realistic, this is just garbage.

Hey just FYI you're not really supposed to cover up other people's edits, KG. But I think we should let it pass because they were rather corny with the MS Paint stick-figure and blood... no offense
