We've talked about it a bit, the plan is to try to hold it in December or maybe early January. We're considering moving it to a Friday/Saturday instead of a Saturday/Sunday but the only time to do that that wouldn't conflict with Christmas or New Year's Day is December 18th and 19th, before Christmas. I'm open to feedback as far as what timing would work best for people, nothing is set in stone yet.
I would still prefer a saturday/sunday THAC because if I don't have holiday then, my THAC will start when I'm at school. And that would suck because that means that I'll be some hours behind. But it wwas organised near Christmas/New Year the chances are high that it will be in my holiday.
But to summarize: It'd keep it on a Saturday/Sunday
If it were moved to a Friday/Saturday time frame then many people wouldn't be able to enter because of school.

What's wrong with January 2nd/3rd? The only drawback I can see is that people might still be tired from the New Year's parties.
Well I meant as far as Friday/Saturday times go. Based on response I've gotten perhaps a Saturday/Sunday is better, we'll lose some participants either way but I think Saturday/Sunday looks to be more popular. For a Saturday/Sunday time I would probably favor January 2nd/3rd, though December 26/27 is another option. Perhaps that would be too close to Christmas though, which is generally a bigger holiday than New Years.
Just stick with having it from Saturday to Sunday. That has seemed to work well most years. As for which month, definitely go with January over December.
Meh, I wouldnt mind before Christmas. I dunno, I just like the idea of lots of Christmas Brickfilms - since I freaking love Christmas!
Thats my only reason. I really wouldnt mind if it was tommorow, but if I was to choose - I would choose that.

Contest this year.
So many contests so little time 
The only official BiM contests are going to be THAC, BiM 2010 (Avant-Garde), and AniExer-size, which isn't even run by BiM. THAC and AniExer-size are pretty small contests as far as the duration of them and what's expected of entrants.
BiM users are, of course, free to organize other unofficial contests like BHC, BRAWL, Christmas contests, etc. though I don't really encourage it. I think it's more fun to have fewer contests so that people aren't overwhelmed, participation is generally higher this way.
January 2nd/3rd looks to be the frontrunner here.
I never recall THAC being official, though I remember ahnt proposing to make it official at one point. (But that was on Brickfilms.com...)
Yeah, the plan is to make it official for THAC 7. Mostly for the consideration of prizes, judging, etc.
I hope theres a BHC this year.
