Never...
Unfortunately this site doesn't make any money, so it's a hobby for those of us running it. All of us have been busier with school and/or work than I think we expected, so it has gone slowly. I'm still hoping to have something launched early in the fall, but I can't make any promises about a schedule.

I am running sorely behind on my promised redesign due to other commitments and to be honest a little procrastination. It's coming, but don't hold your breath.
Do you guys need any help? Especially with finding way to monetize this site so that it isn't a burden financially, and yet doesn't drive out the community, etc. I'm sure there is room for creative thinking here. I have a few ideas myself.
Do you guys plan on optimizing the content at all on the website? I'm not harping on anyone, it's just that I have been doing a lot of web design and graphic work lately, along with working with a group to help bring more attention to their website, so this is all just fresh on the brain.
I have a few ideas that came to mind pretty immediately. Stoked to see the new design!

What do you mean by this?
I think the answer to your question is yes, but I'm not sure specifically what you have in mind. If you want to suggest specific things in this thread, feel free to do so. I'm not opposed to the idea of bringing additional people onto the project either. The truth is that I have some fairly specific and ambitious ideas for what I'd like to do with the site, but I don't personally have the programming expertise to pull all of it off, and furthermore me, Sean, and Dan have not had as much free time to complete the work as we had originally hoped. I'm so busy with freelancing and job hunting right now that I haven't been able to find time to work on a redesign for BiM lately; I want to be able to do a really good job with it and devote quite a bit of time to the project so I've been waiting until that is possible.
BiM is currently monetized enough to pay for itself, but I'd welcome expertise to optimize this so it is more effective.
I personally like the design of Bricks in Motion. It's easy to use, and unlike a lot of forums, is easy to read. I have seen some god awful forums in my time, and I hope that Bricks in Motion can stay like this for the most part.

Couldn't agree more.
I wouldn't think of what we have planned as a "redesign", more of an update.
