My latest eBay haul. It's not much, but I'm really pleased with it. I got Frodo's Cooking Corner and Necromancer/Sauron.
The only annoying thing is that Sauron has a little bit of a line chipped through the top of the face printing, like someone's put a helmet on him, but other than that everything arrived in great condition, and it was all really really cheap!
That Necromancer minifig looks awesome. I'm contemplating getting the Dol Guldur Battle set (although I'm torn between that, An Unexpected Gathering, and Battle at the Black Gate...)
Oh yes, and I got this:
I am extremely aggravated by Beorn's head. It's so useless it actually makes me angry. (Seriously, they could have easily made a separate head and hair/beard piece--as they even have done in the past. Come on, LEGO, you can do better than that...). Which is an absolute shame as a beard piece like that would be awesome.
That aside, it's a great set with loads of useful pieces. Though I do wish the designers had been a bit more generous on the dark red tree leaf and "brick brick" side of things...
I really want that set, just so I can try to find a use for the Beorn head. Well, that and the fact it looks like an otherwise really good set.
All I got was a LEGO Guy in a Panda Bear Suit:
I like the Face:
I really only got it for the poster:

I got all three of those sets, and my advice to you would be to get the unexpected gathering. It's so iconic and just an over all great set. The black gate is ok but you need two of them to make it complete.
The last one I got was the 2013 Star Wars Spider Driod.
Unlike the reviews I read, it's pretty good. Though I hate how they oversized the clone's rifles in this wave.

I got the Friends penguin set, the Getaway Glider (from the movie), and I got Wiley Fusebot.
Aside from the overly-small cactus, I love everything about these sets. The penguins about right for minifig scale (even though it was designed for those Friends doll things), and the LEGO Movie sets in general have some amazing minifig parts. The Glider came with two of those moustache pieces, which is a bonus, and I love the robot faces. Plus, Fusebot's raccoon hat thing is great, and the updated horse fig is really good - even just being able to move the back legs makes a real difference.
I'll probably do some kind of Wild West animation soon.
Just got the Galactic Titan for $49 at WalMart. Check yr local WalMart; maybe they're on clearance there too!

Got more minifigs today: Velma Staplebot, another Wiley Fusebot and Taco Tuesday Guy, and I managed to order President Business and Larry the Barista real cheap on eBay. I think that's me done for this series of minifigs - as much as I want Marsha queen of mermaids, money's tight and I don't want to risk more duplicates (not that I mind two of Wiley Fusebot).
Got two Endor Rebel battlepacks, as they were on sale, and another Corporate Alliance tank and a collectible minifig. Also got a few Non-Lego Star Wars stuff as well.

Wow! I didn't see the series 4 friends pets sets, but that is one of their cooler ones! Gonna get.
I got this set and I really like it. The troopers are perfect, the speeder though...ick. It's not good, like, at all. Pretty much anyone who buys it is getting it for the minifigures anyway but that still makes the speeder disappointing, but not unexpected.
I also got this minifigure so I can destroy her.
By destroy I mean make her hair a suitable colour for Sherlock. I'm thinking probably just a black permanent marker a few times then let it sit for a while. Is there any reason why this won't work or a better way that's hopefully just as easy?

Do it. And show us pictures!
Don't do it.
That hair is beautiful in grey, it doesn't even look like Sherlock's hair.
I recently got some small sets
for cuteness and parts -
for a minifig I need for my next film-
for the new joints (I didn't even bother to build this one )-
Nope, a quick Google search reveals that said hair would not work for Sherlock. At least, not in my mind.
Just doesn't look right.
Also, not a set per say, but I finally got my Firestartoys.com order in.
Got the Master of Laketown, Sleepyhead, Larry the Barista, a custom brown trenchcoat and a super-sweet gas mask. (Si-Dan Type 1 in black) Not much, but it's what I wanted.
In other words I can finally finish my Tenth Doctor figure, have different hair for Eleven, as well as the ability to design the Empty Child...And a teddy bear. I've always wanted a teddy bear.

Are those CGI? The image looks kind of impossible to have the eye with the slants.
(Unless it's a custom piece- I wouldn't be surprised. )

Or a sticker.

The actual set works and the eye is printed (not a sticker)
