Welcome to Bricks in Motion

Founded in 2001, Bricks in Motion is a friendly filmmaking community devoted to the art of stop-motion animation. Most of our films, sometimes called brickfilms or LEGO movies, are created using LEGO® and other plastic brick building toys. We have an active forum for filmmakers to learn from each other and share their work, as well as an ever-growing directory of films submitted by our members, and periodic animation contests that challenge filmmakers to push their skills further.

Director's Comments

An entry into THAC VII (Twenty-Four Hour Animation Contest 7). I really focused on the visual look of the film.

Randy Yard:
NewRight's critique of his own film in the YouTube description pretty much says everything I was going to. The focus of this film was clearly on making the visuals look impressive, and as a result, other aspects were neglected a bit; the story is difficult to understand, the animation is average, and the film as a whole probably would have worked better without dialogue. But the focus on visuals shows; the sets are quite impressive for a THAC entry, and the cinematography ranks up there with some of the best. It lacks the polish of some other entries, but this one is still worth two minutes of your time.
