Jim and Bob go to extremes to obtain their first car...

Jim and Bob's New Car
Randy Yard:
Though THAC-induced errors such as prop bumps and sparse sets are present, it's the success the director has at creating the oft-attempted and rarely accomplished absurdist feel that makes this one work. "Jim and Bob's New Car" never even tries to make sense, throwing itself wholeheartedly into the bizarre and dissolving into a two minute smorgasbord of randomness before the screen even finishes fading in. This film's style of humor definitely isn't for everyone; but like it or not, everything from the basic storyline to the sound to the overuse of hand gestures to the rapid-fire dialogue pulls its own weight towards that goal. It might not quite reach the final destination, but it definitely makes it to the proper exit on the highway.
