Director's Comments

I actually submitted this to try out the Films section. This film is old and mediocre, but i'm proud of it.

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
You've heard of deceptively good films? This one is deceptively average. And yes, that's a compliment. Certain aspects are below par here; the animation in particular is minimal and rather poor (Tom's finger even makes a cameo in one frame). But unless you're looking for it, you won't notice, as creative cinematography keeps things visually interesting while excellent music selection carries the aural side. Though a few of its parts may not be carrying their weight, the final film is a quality horror short in the same gritty desaturated style featured by several of our Dutch and Belgian brickfilmers. An excellent example of a film that manages to be entertaining without sporting flawless animation, it's worth two minutes of your time.
