Director's Comments

One of the best animated film we've ever done. A strange train race occurs in Sim's room. Are the evil B&W minis gonna destroy the world, or will the three heroes manage to stop them ?

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
It's nice to see a film that doesn't get too grandiose in its endeavors, instead taking what it has to work with and using it to perfection. This film is a perfect example, as three men on a pushcart try to stop a train carrying a number of shadowy bad guys. The director's approach is quite simple... the train track is an obvious loop on someone's floor (complete with the director sitting to the side in one scene), a "tunnel" that is little more than an arch, and the director's hand lending assistance to a minifig in need. It might sound lazy to the casual observer, but once you see it coupled with cartoony animation and action that never takes itself too seriously, it reveals itself as just another facet of a short that could be made as effectively with no other medium. Add in a few absolutely eye-popping trucking shots and pans, and you've got yourself a must-watch film.
