Director's Comments

My entry in the Nicktoons Network Animation Film Festival 2008 - "Built by me" Lego movie contest. This is my first stop motion brickfilm. It took almost 5 weeks to make, with most of the time spent keying the backgrounds. The backgrounds were all made using Lego Digital Designer.

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
Huge sets, further expanded with the use of CGI backgrounds, do a wonderful job of creating an immersive brick environment, but the true success of this film is in the cartoon-like feeling it creates. Everything from the pacing of the animation to background action to the token amounts of violence handled in an awkwardly cheerful fashion excellently replicate that found in professional cartoons. Make every effort to catch this one.
