Director's Comments

Maybe Plato was wrong.
I originally animated this for a systematic theology course at Great Northern University. The film was based on the book "Suprised by Hope" by N.T. Wright. I wanted to try out a number of new techniques and make a short that was unique. I finished the animation in time for the class but the film still needed a lot of work before it could be released to the public. When I saw that Bricks in Motion was holding a summer contest I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to finish the short up. Jorden Davis came in with an incredible score and a number of other animators helped lock in the edit. I am so excited to finally share this short animation with the world!

Starring Thomas Luce as the Subject and Philip Heinrich as the King. Special thanks to everyone who made this short possible.  Especially my loving family and Dr. Micheal Kibbe my Systematic Theology Professor.
