I haven't seen that anywhere, and it works perfectly fine for me, so... I don't see any problem.

The Logitech Webcam Pro doesn't have manual focus.

There are two things you can do....

1. Use a Mac capture software and a compatible camera.

2. Use Boot Camp and no parallel softwares while using a Logitech Webcam Pro.

There is a webcam almost exactly like the Pro 9000 but for a mac. You will have to look into it. And no, I don't think Logitech has changed there software as far as I have known...I'm not completely positive about it though. I hope your son has a GREAT time brick filming!

I'm setting up a system for my son and the easiest thing would be to give him an old Mac of mine. But he really wants to be able to have manual control over the camera, so obviously, we'd have to go with the 9k or C910 for a webcam.

However, I've read that people have had trouble getting these cameras to work winder VMFusion, Parallels and Boot Camp.

Is anyone running one of these cameras successfully in a Windows environment on a Mac?

Also, do these cameras still have manual control on a PC? A recent thread said Logitech was removing some of that functionality.

Thanks.
