changed the white balence settings. Worked. Then stopped working and produced light flicker. I know it is not that much lightflicker however it annoys me D:

LegOpinions, yes. I fixed this problem today. However it comes back every so often. I used a bright greenscreen however it causes light flicker yesterday but today it is fine!
One other person has my camcorder and he is famous (youtube partner), no light flicker what so ever.
Good days, bad days IMO

I'd personally advise making sure the lamps are well covered with paper for a start off. But one thing I've found, which certainly isn't mentioned often when accounting for light-flicker is what colour bricks are used in your set. For instance, if your set is consisting of mainly darker coloured bricks the reflection onto those from yourself or other parts of your set can cause flickering. I'd advise using a colourful set at all times, with maybe white, blue, red or green as your main wall colour.

And also, there's another thing as well, which may not be fixable - and that's your camcorder's adaptability to light change. I know when filming on my old camcorder that it was actually too good, thus when any of my mini-figures moved it accounted for this and balanced the lighting accordingly, which when taking an ordinary photograph is fine, but in stop-motion makes for the afore mentioned problem of light flicker. However that's of course simply from my experience.

Thanks for replying!
My windows are blacked out some light peeping through. I can animate SOMETIMES without flicker. But yes, I feel I am missing a lot of animating time seeing whether it will produce flicker for my next animation

Okay...so either you need to block ALL the light coming in from the windows or you might be using a flourecent bulb lamp. Or it could be your ARMS aren't in the same place.

Okay, thought I fixed the problem. But I clearly haven't now.

Everything is set to manual, I stand in the same place. And there is only little light coming from the windows (I sealed them up).
Still lightflicker...

P.S Please help!

Probably reflective bricks, Ive found that using bright, shiny new bricks with light shining directly on the set can cause a lot of light flicker. This is why I dont use PAB bricks and all my sets are built using the lego Ive accumulated over the course of 10 years or so. Practically none of my lego bricks are shiny anymore.

The other issue could just generally be your shadow is being cast onto the set, so always check where your standing while animating. The last issue I can think of is your filming in the sunlight, I doubt this is the problem though since you have to be pretty thick to do that :P

Anyway, yep. Hope I helped

Hmm, everything should be okay if its all on manual. What about your shadow, I find retuning to a specific place helps, but your probably not standing in the way of your lights. Have you blocked out all/as much natural light as possible?

Okay,

So I have lightflicker...BEFORE YOU COMMENT, I have EVERYTHING put to manual, exposure, focus, white balance, EVERYTHING, yet, I still have light flicker :O

I use the same camcorder as this guy did in his video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zp9dW7Qm2Y&feature=channel_video_title
As you can see light flicker was not a problem.
I contacted him and he said everything that I have done, yet simply still light flicker..
Any help?
