^ Im loving the betrayal as the theme idea. Personally, the superhero typeish thing makes things a bit... eh unoriginal, but hey, if someone is able to make a good script using it, kudos to them.

Nah the theme should be themes, not superpowers or whatever.

How about "Cheering someone up" or "betrayal"?

Yeah, that's kind of my point. LegOpinions with the theme, to see if people could come up with their own superheroes or even just an original take on an old set. If it doesn't work out there'll always be another theme next week.

I could see this working actually, however the theme is somewhat "redundant" following what you just said. A lot of those random films are Batman, Spiderman stuff that everybody here loathes with an unhealthy passion, and the theme Superheroes doesn't brighten the horizon of new films. Perhaps something like "Invention" could be interpreted better?

Screenwriting Challenge

Hi,
Lately I've noticed that a lot of films submitted to the directory can be rather random. So seeing that we have the animation challenge, I think it's only fair to have a screenwriting challenge. So here's how it works.

You are to write a screenplay on the theme or plot outline within the deadline set.
As long as it's a screenplay that fits the theme/plot then it'll be judged.

Then you can use your screenplay in a film or just put it in a general pool of screenplays for anyone else to take.

So to kick things off the first theme is "superpowers" and It'll end Tuesday the 25th of January. Upload your submissions to mediafire and post them here.

PS: If anyone experienced at the art of writing films and would be interested in judging, please tell me as I'm not that great at it to be judging every week. And I'd also like to enter these to practice.

The current theme is: Betrayal with a deadline of Wednesday the 2nd of February.

Past themes are:
Superpowers, with no entries
