I was confused about this to:
The contest said the animation only had to have something about history in it.
this animation took place in a medevil village.
If you are new here you should look at this ;)

AND PLEASE DON'T DOUBLE POST!!!!!

I can't believe I haven't commented on this yet...

This movie is spectacular! One of the best I've seen in recent memory; it's just so well done, it makes me want to cry *tear falls*.
On the technical note of the film, this film is highly well done, escpecially when there was no color grading effects in post-production. Piet here does a wonderful job integrating CGI elements into the film and making them blend realistically, as well as animating them nicely as well. The story in this film isn't one we haven't seen before, but it's certianly has much more effort put into it then any other 'YooToobez' attempt. It is well executed, and the sound greatly adds to the addition of well presentation. The main flaw in this film is the animation, which isn't poorly done, but it just doesn't live up to the pure awesomeness of the rest of the film. That being said, his animation is better than ours, so I shouldn't be too critical on it. It's now time for my un-official ratings, which I really need to start getting back into:

Overall: 7.5
Story: 6
Cinemotagrophy: 8
Animation: 6.5
Effects: 9.5
Sound: 8
Music: 7

Being that this film has already been submitted into the directory and has it's official BiM ratings, mine is more of a mere opinion.

Also, on another note, I must ask you; how did you make the CGI duck go behind many of the elements in that shot without chroma keying? I thought it was blending and masking combined, but I can never be sure.

Any suggestions?
I use MovieMaker too but I've just found a free program to download called "MonkeyJam". You have 6 fps to choose from :)
Wow awesome. There were some really sweet light effects going on here! Great piece of work. Really wish I had the legos to build more sets like the ones you did here when I made Blood Feud :/
A realy big set is very hard for filming, becaus while doing some shots I had to destruct some parts of the village. But I like the use of non plastic stuff in Blood Feud and the atmosphere ..

@tehepicpineapple:I think the major flaw is the animation .. and there is still non colour grading in post in it .. thats all done with 2 very low shining lamps.

Dang nice work! I have noticed recently relized that good brickfilms these days are extremely hard to find, i seem to only find one every once and a while. And this was not only well made, but the story was quite interesting! If you want to get SUPER critical, and I don't mean to(in fact, i think this film deserves a medal), it could do with some color grading, as nick said. But other than that it was superb. The shot where the scythe(i believe i splled that right) turned into smoke was impressive.

Yeah I try hard to hide the CGI thats right .. and I think in The Village is not the facility for those spectacular effects. I think the movie with the best combination of realistic and spectacular effects is Picturesque by Nick Durron. From this movie we all can learn a lot .. I did.

@D.J.M.: thanks .. I try, because I like BrickFilm short movies most. So I just take a smal idea out of my head and built a set around. In the beginning of this project there were just the scene of the walker and the tree and his transformation from the ending.
