You can't drag the actual file to the desktop. Instead, right-click on the file and select "Create Shortcut." It should make a new file in the same folder titled "Helium_Frog_2_06 - Shortcut." Drag that file to the desktop. What this does it target the program file when you click it, which is still where it needs to be, thus working. :)

bump- another question about helium frog. whenever i download it, it downloads as a .zip file, and i have to extract it, so i do that. but i want an icon on my desktop, instead of a file. but whenever i drag and drop the helium frog program from the file onto my desktop, when i open, it says it can't find all the stuff it needs. does anyone know where i can download a working program as an icon instead of a .zip file if you know what i mean?

Fill a folder with all of the jpeg frames in sequential order, and only the frames you want to render. Go into utilities>jpeg to motion jpeg. When prompted, navigate to the folder of JPEGs you wish to render. Make sure to double-click on the final folder, so that the icon is of an open folder. Press "GO" and HeliumFrog will render it out. The video will not end up in the playback window, but the animation file will be saved to folder from which you got your frames.

jpeg to motion jpeg is the one i meant. it should work assuming you select a folder with all the jpegs you want. you have to select the folder, then the framerate then press "GO" then it will process them and say "completed" or something when it is done. after that, you can press "continiue" and then if you press play, the video, should be there.

sorry to bring this thread back up, but i have been using helium frog and it has been working quite well. Except for now. i now have another question: i saved my export file as 100% quality JPEG's, then my computer sort of froze up, and helium frog closed. so how do i import all the pictures that i took back into helium frog?

Yes, you'll find it in the captured frames folder in the helium frog files. The only problem is that you must edit them, and then save over the unmasked one, and delete the frame used behind it to edit. Then they must be JPG to be able to be strung into an animation. You can find this feature in the utilities. Remember to move all of the photos to a separate folder, so the program doesn't string photos together from previous animations as well.
