Ehm, sorry to bump this again, but I just checked the Directory link and my film wasn't rated. I don't mean to be pushy, but I'd really liked some ratings or a review, as I have been waiting since August and I put weeks of effort into this (Between doing animation techniques, etc.) Thanks!

How you could improve story? Well, just take any story that can be told without dialogs, and scale all the sets (like Cameragoldentudios did in his Small World at the beginning). you can use any story you want, it's not that just because they're studs it's different. This reminds me of Leftfielder's "Macbeth in 2 minutes". Btw, I would be interested in seeing sequels, but with more ideas, not just studs moving random.

BUMP

I didn't think setting up a thread for this was necessary - but would anyone like a sequel? My ideas are quite limited at the moment and this came to mind. However I'd only be interested if other people were game to see it. Also, any suggestions as to how I could improve on the story?

That was actually quite clever. The framing was a bit awkward in a couple places, but I think the animation was very interesting (I especially like how you animated the bricks moving from one stud to another). Good work!

Thanks, Juggernaut. Oh, and BWJCLego, I can't get a capture program as I use a 12 Megapixel Camcorder, and I don't have the budget as yet to get Windows 7 and a Logitech. You see I have a Mac, so it's quite hard to find any good capture programs, and even then I have the Camcorder dilemma. Thanks anyway.
however it's the tri-pod I use. it's pretty good, but really big and quite unwieldy it moves around quite often when I take a photo, however I am getting a gorilla pod, which is recommended. It's also slightly annoying as my camera has a 25 degree angle lens, so I can't really build a LEGO based stand for it.
Well, even if it the tripod moves around, you shouldn't even touch it when filming, Except for focusing(maybe) and camera movements. If you don't use remote capture or an Image capture program, looks into that. Most new digital cameras support Image capture either on a program that came with them or programs like MonkeyJam.
Yeah, it's true, but then again I have only really made 4 proper films in total, and 2 of them have sets, so that's not completely true.
Well, I had only seen three at this point, and two had no set, basically. Though it did work for those two films (this and Gardener) It was just a suggestion for the future.
There's not supposed to be a plot, it's just a twist on two retro video games
That was basically what I figured.

Once again LegOpinions has taken the traditional LEGO stud, and transforms it into a brilliant mind boggling film. The concept is outstanding, and the animation is fantastic. The lighting is fantastic for what the film is trying to do, and we feel that this film didn't really need a set since it is trying to resemble older games that did not have sets either. This film gets a 4/5 and we now understand why you use this music, and it fits perfectly. Well done. :)

Yup, all your points are fair, however I do have a few things to explain (A lot of which are things I'll improve on).
but make sure your set and camera are securely stuck to your desk or other animating surface.
My set is secured perfectly actually, however it's the tri-pod I use. it's pretty good, but really big and quite unwieldy it moves around quite often when I take a photo, however I am getting a gorilla pod, which is recommended. It's also slightly annoying as my camera has a 25 degree angle lens, so I can't really build a LEGO based stand for it.
but I've noticed most of your films have nonexistent sets
Yeah, it's true, but then again I have only really made 4 proper films in total, and 2 of them have sets, so that's not completely true.
I could not figure out what was happening in this, it was really confusing
There's not supposed to be a plot, it's just a twist on two retro video games, Pac-Man and Space-Invaders, and that's about it.
Thanks anyway for the review, I greatly enjoyed reading it, and will definitely try and improve starting with the Tri-Pod set-up and lights.

Wow, that was refreshing, I really enjoyed it. If this was entered in AG you would have placed top five, maybe, Though the judging in that was a little iffy...
I am really glad to see some AG films produced after the contest, it's so great, the ideas continually produced are really cool and amazing.

Now to the film itself, the animation was amazing, the transred brick did have some minor problems, but a really good job there. The lighting was a little bit iffy, but I think it worked for this particular short. You my want to spend more time setting up your lighting and camera setting next time though, as it was a little dark. There were also a few light flickers, this is normally the camera settings, but may have been caused by changing lighting. Some of the camera movements and angles were good, but there seemed to be a shake throughout the entire film, be it caused from a moving set or camera, I don't know. It may just be your editing program, but make sure your set and camera are securely stuck to your desk or other animating surface. The general lack of a set fit this film, but I've noticed most of your films have nonexistent sets. Make sure to build a set where necessary. This one was an exception. Now, I could not figure out what was happening in this, it was really confusing, even though I have watched five or six times, I still don't get what is going on. Basically, this film is just some nice animation with studs.

All in all, a 4/5
