Sorry if it has been already said, but I used to film for a digital camera and had ways of keeping it mostly still. Perhaps tacking it down or taping it down to something other than your tripod would work.

Does it take a picture right when you hit he button, or does it take a second?
Yeah it does take a second to take the photo. I've gotten so tired with my digital camera that I'm trying to get a logitech quick cam pro 90000 from ebay. thanks any way :)
Push down slightly on the camera while pressing any buttons, that will prevent any sideways movement. Also, does your camera have a remote control? Use that if you have it. I do, and its really helpful, and not just for stop motion animating.
A remote would be really helpful! but my camera doesn't have one.:)
Thanks any way.

Or put the camera wait on 1 second one shot. And press the capture button lightly enough to trigger the capture, but not too hard or lightly. I have gotten pretty good results by doing it this way with no camera bumps whatsoever.
By the way, shouldn't this be in production?
Well, do you use a capture program? If you don't, you should probably download Monkeyjam for free. With this, I think you can plug your camera into the computer to take your frames. I think it has to be a Canon or Kodak though, see for yourself. To keep it still, make a camera cage out of technique pieces. That works best.
Well for a start I do have monkey jam but my camera dosen't allow me to do frame capture. :( . I am probably going to get a camera that will be able to do this. like the logitech quickcam 9000.
Thanks for the help
