How did he copy somebody else's idea?
It's a song with a music video made by Discovery.
Plus they were asking for music videos to be made!

Also I liked the video somewhat, the Animation was horrible (No offense)
But I liked Mike Rowe, in the tube!
Overall I would give it a...

Hey man. The syncing seemed fine, and your ideas seemed good (though I am not sure if they were your own, I haven't seen the discovery channel ad). That's good. A good idea is at least 50% of the battle. You can be the best animator ever, and without an idea all you really have is eye candy. With that being said, even the best idea is nothing without a good foundation for it to lay upon.

I would suggest making another film, even if a short one, with a more dedicated approach. Tack your sets down, light it consistently (three desk or studio lamps will work), animate smoother (work with 15fps at the least, and try to mimic human/natural movement as much as possible), but most of all enjoy your work. Everyone can tell when you really love your hobby, and if you love your hobby you will put time and dedication towards it. Any questions, feel free to ask.

If you are saying the movie is awesome, you are overhyping. If you are saying the world is awesome, OK, but the movie doesn't really imply it.

Compared to the relatively high standard this site has, this is a little poor. There are little to no sets (although the downward tunnel and the ocean are quite creative) Because there are no baseplate, the animation suffers heavily. I would recommend you start using baseplate's if you want your movies to be noticed - as they will give you a foundation for your animation and allow you to use techniques such as walk cycles and also keep your mini figures (and megablocks) still whilst animating.

Also, find a way to steady your camera. A tripod, or a cradle would be advisable. Its a shame the resource section is not open, as this would contain tutorials all about this so you will just have to use google.

Finally, control your lighting. Either you are using flash, or you are using natural sunlight, or maybe you did make some attempt to control it, but your lighting is not consistent in each frame and you should reconsider your efforts and strive to remove all light other than your desklamps/spotlights/whatever. These are two huge no-no's in the Brickfilming world.

The fact you have undertaken such a project shows you have ambition and maybe potential. I recommend however you go back and start researching and learning how people on this site make their movies. You are not the first, nor will you ever be the last.
