You could add a section with useful animation software
We already have a free software list. It's already available to everyone to see what programs there are, plus there are numerous places you can find out good software that costs money. Just adding that would mean that people get so lazy that they can't do any software hunting for themselves. They might not know if there's a program that better suits them out there, because they haven't looked through all of them, just a few.
Exactly what we were saying. Excellently put. :)
@JustKidden: Yep a n00bie here indeed  We must start somewhere, somehow... (heh)

@BuilderBrothers: Hey thanks for the long informative guide, it's been very helpful for me :DD

I have a question though, I hope you guys can help! Is there a particular workflow that's the most efficient? I was thinking about the filming bit and I got a bit confused... Do we have to film straight from the first frame to the last frame, or we can film the scenes in any order we want? Let's say I'm filming at 15fps but that scene had 86 frames which means I'm short of 4 frames to make 6 sec, will it cause a "chop" in the video when I add the next scene? Oops, does it sound a little dumb? :dizzy: The thing is I'm exporting the frames I captured using Dragon Stop Motion as a .mov file, then trying to edit in After Effects- so it does mean that the timing of the scenes will be messed up?

Hopefully I was coherent!

It depends really, if you have a set that you will be using multiple times in the film, but you don't really have enough pieces to just put that set aside and make a new one, then I would would recommend shooting scenes out of order. But for me, shooting scenes in order is more efficient and easier. As for the timing question, I don't think that being 4 frames short of 6 seconds will make a difference and mess up your film.
You've put the Lazy Animator Terminator out of a job.
WHAT? How? D:

You can still be a lazy animator even if you know how to animate well ;D
The Lazy Animator Terminator terminates LAZY animators. Not Animators-Who-Are-Bad-At-Animating.

I must say I disagree in some parts, but overall it's a nice guide for newbies (or whatever they are called).
For example, when you say "15 fps is more smooth and lifelike", it's not really true: you just have to know how much the increasements have to be. Some brickfilmers can make 12 fps look more smoother than 15 fps. But anyway, I don't really care.
