I had a read through the book, Blender for Dummies. Although i haven't gotten very far through it, the book does seem to be very helpful.
Yoder perhaps if went to a large library you might find the book or you could buy it (is fairly cheep on Amazon). The author does claim that it won't teach you everything about blender but that it would get you confident at using the software. And it would certainly answer most the questions you are throwing up here.

Whether he gets his film done now, or spends time here is his choice.

Anyone who can use Blender and make a brickfilm is most likely not very stupid.

Yes, those are awesome sources, but not everone has great luck searching. Some just don't have the same wording.

And as I said, how much time he spends is his choice, It would be faster, and it's kind of you to give him this, but you don't have to call him stupid in the process.

Yes, and those questions can quickly be answered if you just visit the Blender websites. You'd probably be rendering a complete mesh model by now instead of waiting for someone to answer your question.

Stupidity forces me to visit. Perhaps you can remedy that.

1 minute and I find two sources.

12 hours and you only have knowledge of a fraction of the controls.

How do I make all of the bricks that make up the star ship just combine to make just one object? I tried Ctrl+J, but it said that it didn't support joining :/
