Yes, it does serve as a (really good) compressor. You barely lose any quality in the slightest, and the file size is reduced a ton. So it can really do two things; compress and convert files at the same time if needed.

@BG I Googled it, and it seems that it converts videos, but does it compress them as well?

EDIT: I mean, compress like DivX... or maybe that's called video encoding?

I would highly suggest Mpeg Streamclip. It's free, it works really great, plus you can use any size footage you want in it and there's no issue.

Actually that is untrue, you must change it by making a new project and such it will say frame rate.

just leave the fps in wax as 24. the only time you should have to worry about fps is when your capturing it in helium frog. once the video is exported the fps will stay the same.

I'm getting confused about fps in Wax 2.0. I film in HeliumFrog at 15fps, save it, then import it to Wax for editing and other things. Wax plays the video at 24 fps, but when I compare the 24 fps in Wax to the 15 fps, they're the exact same thing! But when I change the frame rate in Wax to 15, it plays slower. Is this a problem?

Also, I can't find a video compressor that will compress a 1280x720 format, so I have to render it uncompressed. Anybody have suggestions?

(In case you need the info, I use a QCP9k)
