I finally got round to filming today. I made a film about a Panda. I carelessly forgot to take note of how long I've been filming so I have no idea where the film eventually ended (and how much I thought I filmed but didn't)

Anyone wanting to film should remember to make a shot list so you know exactly what you want and how long it'll be otherwise you're shooting blind.

I should definitely do some stop-motion with my super 8 camera. It has the option where I can just take one shot whenever I like. Since one of the reasons I start to hate animating is because my software always fails on me I might give it a go at doing animation on my super 8 camera. It'll have some drawbacks but it'll still be interesting.

Incidentally my film came in the post yesterday, will be using it as soon as a friend comes back from holiday and I have finished doing a shot list for my film. Timing is everything since I only have 2.5 minutes.

Are there any feature films that has been filmed on Super 8. I know the original trailer for Black Dynamite was done on Super 8 but I'm trying to find some professional work that has used the medium.

The trailer doesn't seem to give much other than it's late 70s. I should have my film soon, planning a short spaghetti western homage/sketch. Hopefully the look and style of Super 8 will make it feel like it's from the 60s 70s. One of my plans for when I film with film is that I won't contain anything in shot that is new i.e. something manufactured from after the 70s. I want my film to look like it is from that time.

I recently shot a Super 8 test reel, you can watch a segment of it here. It lost a bit
of the color depth and image quality during the transfer.
