I know, I know, a bump. But I would really like to say something about this film. I just saw this for the first time, and I really think that it is one of the best brickfilms to date. The set was very creative, the characters were cleverly designed, and the animation was solid. I was actually very surprised at the plot twist (what a clever little crow.) All in all, this film is a true classic. Nice job!

Thanks!

Well, it's true the original voice in french is great. We recorded it from an old disc of the seventies, where the narrator is Roger Carel, a famous french actor who also voice-acted for many cartoons. (He used to be the french voice of Mickey Mouse, for example).

For the english version, we found the audio file on http://librivox.org/
This is a site where there are many free audio books in several languages read by volunteers. (and all books are in the public domain, so there is no copyright problem using them).

And if we had recorded OUR voices in english, it would have been much worse than this...

This is definitely classic for me and was easily enjoyable when first released, despite my not knowing French. I was excited by the prospect of an English version. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the narrator's voice this time around, as the original had sounded so good. Nonetheless, the skillful animation of larger figures and amusing joke make this a good watch.

The Crow and the Fox

Hi, :)

Here is a short brickfilm we made in 2006, but we never made any english version of it until... today.
The story is based on a fable by Jean de la Fontaine, but with a different ending. Enjoy!
