By the way, I don't know how i'm just noticing your mistake now, but the 'p' you were talking about stands for PIXELS. So when you said it is not all about megapixels, but the 'p' as well, your basically just saying that it IS about megapixels... Don't know how I missed that.
Personally, I think webcams are much easier to use. Also, it's not true that digital cameras have better quality, as you can get quality even better than digital cameras with the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. It has up to 8.0MP still frames. It is meant for Windows, but it works on Macs, too. The only problem is, on Windows it has autofocus, but you can change that in the setting of your capture software to manual focus, but on Mac it only uses autofocus. Overall, I personally think webcams are a much better choice. :)
IgotLegosFilms is right! If you can change the 9k to 8 MP why should you buy a digital camera then? A digital camera is more expensive...

Ark 11 is right. Here's what I wrote in another thread just like this one, about 5 seconds ago:
If you're only willing to fork out up to $100, you should get the Quickcam. If you want something you can take photos with in the real world as well, you'll have to spend a lot more. Look here and here to see the cameras that work with SMP - I'm guessing they'll also work with Helium Frog and other animation programs but I'm not sure.
