Stop Motion/Brickfilming as a Career Pathway in 2026?

Just putting the thought out there for some personal brainstorming of some ideas, and looking for some feedback and any recent experiences the community might be able to share with me.

I'm itching to make a return to filming, and specifically stop-motion animation in 2026. I'm not seeking or expecting a get-rich-quick scheme, I'm well aware that it's hardly a way to make fast money. However, what are some possible revenue sources that might be realistic to eventually work towards? First as a supplemental income to a job I already have, and in the longer run, any possible ways that might result in being able to make stop-motion animation a full time career opportunity?

Is YouTube still the best place to get started with getting my work out there? Are there many commercial opportunities of businesses seeking a different way of advertising (probably not brickfilming)? Something else I'm missing entirely? Is AI actually really useful as a tool (ie: not relying on it) for script ideas/writing and storyboarding (3 of my biggest bottlenecks in my previous animation attempts)?

I'm not new to stop-motion, so I know it can really be a passion project, especially in the early days, but I'm more motivated than ever to really set my career path back towards what I studied for. Feel free to give any thoughts you might have. I'm especially interested in anyone who has any experiences making any amount of money off of any form of stop-motion animation.
