And if your looking for a camera, I recommend a Canon ixus 100 IS. It has 12.1 megapixels and shoots HD video.
I wouldn't buy this camera; it does not seem to support manual focus rendering it useless for brickfilming.
Actually, it does-all I needed to do was select the flower icon and then it focuses on a smaller item (e.g. a Lego minifgure
That's not manual focus - that's the macro mode.

 That dude... is the macrolens, but it doesn't mean YOU can decide what needs to be in focus. Maybe it's a good camera, but the QC9000 is perfect for non-proffesional (almost everybody) brickfilmers. And the post didn't made any sence.

Hey, this thread helps out the new people, I was still looking for advice, thanks for the camera suggestion, I was looking for a brickfilm/video camera for my movies, but is the software compatible with mac?
You can capture separately onto an SD card, the deal I got on Amazon came free with an 8GB SD card. Then you can just import the pictures onto your mac with the software already on the mac. Or, if you wanted to be completely safe, then get a Kodac, they come with Kodac easyshare (or should that be not-so-easyshare) that works on mac or PC.
I was asking if it had image capture software that is compatible with a mac, I already use the SD card with my current camera

i use bafran. It takes a picture and it erases whatever is on it. But, you can add a background file to it and have it erase through the picture on top, but not the background one. *
The only problem with it is that you have to get the same lighting and everything except for the minifigures in the picture*
