look i had the EXACT problom like a month ago ok im sorry but the cams are just too old to work on new macs... u gotta just get a new cam because i spent 4 monthes trying to fix that same problom, i re-downloaded the software, took it to stores and called everywhere. but no solution... i say use a DV camera because
-via firewire cable they ALWAYS show on the mac (istopmotion)
-very good quility

but they are alot more pricey than webcams... i use a SONY DCR-HC52 i got it last month and i love it alothough im trying to get to settings ( even without settings the cam focuses fine)

			<description><![CDATA[Ok, so I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 and iStopmotion 2.
I installed everything, but when I open the iStopmotion page and go over to the right to choose my camera it reads as not plugged in. Even though I have the USB cable connected.
Do you guys have any solution that doesn't involve me getting a new camera?]]></description>
